Remembrance: A Humanist Reflection – 13 November 2016

Defence Humanists and the Defence Humanist Network will be holding their first Remembrance event in central London on Remembrance Sunday, 13 November 2016. Remembrance: A Humanist Reflection will take place from 13:00 in the newly renovated Fitzrovia Chapel (2 Pearson Square, W1T 3BF), a deconsecrated christian chapel now being used for secular events.

Save the date: If you wish to attend, please make a note of the date: Sunday 13 November.

We will be in touch with details about how to register your place. Those participating in or observing the official ceremony at the cenotaph should have enough time to make their way to the venue.

Get involved: Defence Humanists volunteers are currently working on the programme with the Defence Humanist Network and we will be in touch when we have finalised the details. If you would like to contribute on the day, or have any ideas for content, please do get in touch via the Contact page. We are very keen that the event properly represents our growing community, so contributions from the membership would be most welcome.

Defence Humanist Network AGM:  The Defence Humanist Network (the MOD internal network which works with the Department to support humanists in Defence) will be holding its AGM immediately after the ceremony in a nearby venue. The committee are still working on timings and the exact venue, and will update these details as soon as they are finalised.

We hope to see you for this very important event.

Best wishes,

Squadron Leader Emily J McCullouch
Chair of Defence Humanists
